	Samia Guesthouse Terms & Conditions Anyone making use of the facilities and/or services will be addressed in this document as Guests. Services Check-In /Out times are flexible to meet flight arrangements, please ensure prior notification during office hours Check in is at 14h00, Check out at 11h00 Bed linen, bath towels, beach towels, all amenities crockery and cutlery are provided. A kettle with tea, coffee, milk and sugar is available in rooms Breakfast/meals are available on request Laundry service is available at the applicable rate (R100 per basket) Ironing service is available at applicable rate (R5 per item)    A DSTV movie channel is made available Free Internet Wi Fi in the house living area Secure parking Rooms are fitted with panic buttons Rates Electronic bank transfers and cash are acceptable. A reservation is confirmed on receipt of 50% of the booking value deposit. The Balance of the booking value (50%) to be paid before or on arrival Confirmed bookings will not be affected by any changes to rates after the deposit has been paid.  We reserve the right to alter our rates depending on applicable criteria.  E-mail confirmations are sent after receipt of deposit All cancellations must be done in writing. In terms of Chapter 2, Section 1 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, Samia Guest House is committed to best practice and as such has aligned its refunds policy to be in line with the Consumer Protection Act. (Section 17, subsection 3 (b); 4(a-d)). Should a guest or booking agent wish to cancel my/the reservation(s), the following will apply: A 50% deposit is held for all bookings made more than 7 days prior to arrival date A full payment is required for all bookings made less than 7 days prior to arrival No refunds are made on these deposits if cancelled less than 7 days prior to arrival date. Cancellation made more than 7 days before arrival date, provided we can then refill the booking, will be refunded 90% of deposit less the bank charges incurred.  Risk The owners, proprietors, agents and/or employees will make all possible effort to ensure safety Guests occupying/making use of the facilities of Samia Guest House do so by accepting: · Occupation is done entirely at their own risk · Waiving and abandoning any claims against the owner, proprietor, employees or agents of whatever nature including, but not limited to injury, death, loss of limb or whatever nature whether arising from: o Loss or damage of any property brought onto the premises o Fire o Theft o Armed robbery o Negligence (or wrongful act) of any person on the guesthouse premises or any other cause and by whomsoever caused , and this is deemed to be contracted with the owner on this basis · House rules will become an integral part of behavior and form part of this contract. It is agreed that all signs, notices and warnings will be adhere to.  · The ACCOUNT remains the responsibility of the guest until full payment is received, notwithstanding the fact that the guest may have incurred the charges on his account in the course and scope of his employment or service to any company, business or person, and as such company, business or person is thus liable for the payment of the account. · Failing to pay account in full, the jurisdiction of the Magistrates Court of Pretoria is nominated for the settling of any disputes arising from this contract.  The address reflected under the Reservaton Name will be accepted as the domicillium citandi et executandi completed at my arrival at the guesthouse or · Acknowledging the guesthouse’s Common Law tacit hypothecs over any of assets as brought onto the Guesthouse premises, and that the guesthouse shall have the right to protect the hypothecs at any stage during the guests stay at the facility should I failure ofsettlement of account as per agreement occurs.  The guesthouse shall have the right to sell these assets at any time after 30 days of departure.  Any residual funds will be forfeited in favor of the Guest house. · accepting responsibility/liability for any damage caused by themselves or any other guests at the facility during their stay at the guesthouse.  All costs of repairs will be for the liable guests account and management will be paid/refunded for the repairs done in this context · Children are welcome but the parents/guardians take full responsibility for the actions of their minors and agree to the risk and damage profiles.
